I am from Caracas Venezuela. I came to New York in 2016 to visit my oldest son and while here I decided to stay because I fell in love with the city.
Early on in life I developed my interest in music, ballet and sports. Enjoying for years in ” Las Voces Blancas de Venezuela” a music and theater academic. Later on I stayed in sports being a tennis player and a swimmer representing the Venezuela Master Swim Team.
I obtained my bachelor degree in Preschool Education in 1981, I worked as a Bilingual teacher at the kindergarten and elementary levels in Santa Marta, Colombia for over 18 years and as a preschool teacher in Caracas Venezuela for an additional 9 years. While here in NY I also worked at a Montessori School in midtown on the east side.
I get a great interest in teaching children at this age a different language, I always fell singing, using crafts and images to be the best tools in helping the child understand a foreign language.
It is my pleasure to be part of the team at the Bilingual Nest. I look forward to getting in to know each of the children.
